Ask Lisa
Drawn from Dr. Lisa Strohman's work
My 11-year-old wants a phone because every friend has one. Is she ready?
Readiness is less about age than about what she needs it for and what you can agree on. Start with the reason, then set the first month together: where the phone sleeps, which apps come first, and when you will talk about it again.
Ask Lisa
A question about your child's life online? Ask Lisa.
Ask Lisa is a conversation built on the books, talks, and programs of Dr. Lisa Strohman, clinical psychologist, attorney, author of Unplug: Raising Kids in a Technology Addicted World, and founder of Digital Citizen Academy. Ask what you are actually facing at home, a first phone, screen time, an AI chatbot, a hard conversation, and get an answer drawn from her work, whenever the question comes up.
Their life online. Approved by you.
Set up your family once. Every request after that is one tap.
